"We had a wonderful stay here. The rooms were very beautifully set out and the location was picturesque. The directions to the place were great and even though it is well off the beaten track it was easy to find. The property is set in the middle of the countryside and the peace and quiet was very relaxing and peaceful. As many others have stated the breakfasts were fantastic. We had a full range of options and I'm sure most of the ingredients were either homegrown or home made. Really worth the trip alone! Great place to stay if you're after off off the beaten track! Worth a visit to the Talbot inn and nearby Babbington house. Thank you for a great get-away! Nick & Alice "  January 2016

"A tranquil and very stylish hideaway a stones throw from Babington House and the pretty village of Mells. We stayed as we were attending a wedding at Babington and it was just the perfect place to have as a base and lovely luxurious room to get back to at the end of the night. The bread, pastries and homemade jams and preserves were absolutely delicious, as was the cooked breakfast. An incredible attention to detail all round - from the unique pieces of antique furniture and eclectic art, to the artisan crockery and locally sourced food - 5 star accommodation which we can't wait to go back to!"   October 2015

“A cosy, beautifully designed room with a fantastic, friendly host. Stephen was welcoming from the moment we arrived. Situated in an idyllic, secluded spot surrounded by wild flowers and fields – the entrance even has a cute courtyard to relax in. The whole place has an air of relaxation and informality, and because it’s an extension to the house, with a lovely little sitting room connecting the two, the bedroom feels very private. The bed is comfortable, the area is quiet and peaceful and the breakfast was delicious. We were treated to homemade warm baked goods and a splendid cooked breakfast.”  August 2015

“A garden lovers delight and a welcome return to this wonderful B&B. Beautiful, comfy, and Stephen sure knows how to scramble eggs as part of our tasty breakfast. Bliss!”  July 2015

“What an absolute gem. Stephen has a beautiful hidden treasure in the middle of the countryside. Our 2 day stay was amazing, Stephen went out of his way to shuttle us everywhere and cooked up the most amazing breakfast. Delicious home-made breads, dollops of yoghurt, fresh fruit, jams and eggs meant that you were done for the day. I can’t recommend this place enough and so look forward to coming back one day. It is hard to find, but that just makes to all the more a unique find. The room is spacious, with a separate seating area and a lovely shared front garden. Go ahead and visit!”  July 2015

“To achieve the perfect mix of wonderful hospitality and privacy is rare yet this is one of the pleasures of staying at Jericho. A location offering tranquility and beautiful surroundings in a room which is very comfortable has taken considerable effort. The breakfast is delicious and by far the best we have enjoyed for some time. Stephen’s local knowledge is amazing and adds to your stay. Nearby villages are beautiful and next time we will bring our bicycles. Yes this is definitely a place to visit again and thank you to Stephen and Sarah for your enjoyable conversations. ”   July 2015

“Far from the madding crowd, Jericho is full of birdsong and the scent of garden roses. If you think a full English breakfast has to include sausage and bacon, think again. After Stephen’s breakfast extravaganzas you’ll want nothing ’til tea time.”  June 2015

“‘Jericho’ is an exquisite place. As rural as it gets; perfectly tranquil and in beautiful surroundings. The one bedroom for guests is supremely comfortable and has an adjoining sitting room and shower room. The furnishings are understated elegance – very stylish yet simple. Stephen is a charming and engaging host, who delivers to the sitting room the most fabulous vegetarian breakfast I have ever encountered at a B&B. Many of the ingredients (e.g. the eggs, bread and fruit compote) are home produced. This is a gem of a place that was a real pleasure to stay at. We would love to return.”   May 2015

“We recently visited Jericho as a surprise for my partners 30th. We arrived late on Friday night and as we drove down the tiny country tracks in the dark it really felt like we were heading somewhere quite special, and we were not disappointed. The suite is stunning, its like staying at a 5* hotel with one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in! In the morning we were served a quite amazing vegetarian breakfast (bring your appetite, because you won’t want to leave a morsel) The hosts are great and shared a very special weekend with us as we also got engaged while we were there Book!”   May 2015

“It’s rare to find a b&b where you feel truly at home yet without intruding but Jericho certainly fits the bill. Spacious room, bed that you’re sorry to leave and breakfast that will make you turn your nose up at all other ‘full English’ offerings. Stephen is a business-like yet laid back host who made us feel more than welcome from the moment we set foot in his idyllic farmyard. A perfect getaway for two that will inspire you to leave the city behind forever…”   April 2015

“Jericho is tucked away, a real tranquil retreat, with no traffic noises, just birds. We had a very warm welcome from Stephen and loved the rooms which are stylish and rustic, and very comfortable. The bedroom is really beautiful and peaceful with a large and really comfortable bed. There is a lovely private little sitting room with a television, and a small dining table and chairs at which Stephen served what has to be one of the best breakfasts we have ever had. We weren’t there long but it was a really memorable stay. ”   March 2015

“Jericho is a delightful, secluded gem set among beautiful countryside. Stephen gave us a very warm welcome and was the perfect host (even giving us a lift into the local village to save our taxi fare). The accommodation is beautiful and the breakfast truly impressive. I would definitely go back again.”      November 2014

“Jericho certainly gets in my favourite places to stay. It is said of me that I have particular tastes. Well, Jericho certainly had suited me great. The Host, Stephen was perfect and available and the breakfast,Bedroom exquisite. I could go on and on with feedbacks but these aren’t enough, the best way is to visit it.”   October 2014

“Stephen @ Jericho was a most affable host and my husband and I were very comfortable in his ” garden unit”. His presence was unobtrusive yet there. The bed was super comfortable, the bathroom ultra modern, and the breakfasts delicious. Bath is nearby and there is lots to see in the area. I would highly recommend Jericho and congratulate Stephen on his Sawday award. We would love to return. ”  September 2014

“Once discovered, you’ll never want to leave! Beautiful setting, and beautifully furnished, warm welcome. We can’t wait to return.”   July 2014

“It was an absolute pleasure to stay at Jericho – a beautiful, peaceful place, wonderfully designed and atmospherically enchanting. The home-cooked breakfast was inventive and expertly done – first class.”   July 2014

“Sometimes when you arrive at a B&B it doesn’t live up to expectations. Jericho surpassed them. There is that rare combination of luxury, beauty and tranquility all within the setting of an idyllic courtyard garden. Thank you for such a restful stay and we hope to return.”   June 2014

“We’ve just returned to London after a wonderful stay at Jericho. The room has been beautifully decorated and is very comfortable. Stephen is a fabulous host and provided lots of information/recommendations plus wine after a long drive. The veggie breakfasts were delicious. Highly recommended.”   May 2014

“A very special home from home B&B in idyllic surroundings. We LOVE the Jericho and can’t praise it enough. Minutes from Babington House but tucked away in beautiful countryside, you’ll have a spacious and lovingly refurbished annexe all to yourselves. Stephen’s breakfasts are phenomenal too!”  April 2014

“We had the great fortune to visit Jericho over the Christmas period for the first time- it is a real find for us as we visit the area regularly and we will certainly be staying in future. Hugely comfortable accommodation and the breakfast could convert anybody to vegetarianism. Loved it.”      December 2013

“What an enchanting place! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Jericho and only wished we had another couple of nights! Gorgeous setting, beautiful decor, wonderful hospitality from Stephen, not to mention a delicious breakfast. We also had a fabulous meal at “The Talbot” in the evening, which is not to be missed. We will be recommending the Jericho to all our friends and family, we only hope there is availability next time we want to stay!”     November  2013

“We loved our stay at Jericho. We were greeted by the wonderful host Stephen with fresh tea and home made biscuits before being brought nuts and a glass of wine. Breakfast was a three course extravaganza with more home made delights. The rooms were stylish with every detail thought through. Not your typical B and B and would give some five star hotels a run for their money. “ October 2013

“This B&B is the chicest and most private B&B I’ve stayed in. The deco is super-cool and luxurious indeed …”    August 2013

“We arrived early evening on Friday 9th August and were warmly greeted by Stephen who showed us round our accommodation. It was very stylish, a beautiful bedroom with an ensuite which had a wet room shower, a cosy sitting room with a small dining table where Stephen would bring us breakfast the next morning. He offered us a glass of wine each which duly arrived with some nuts, so thoughtful. The place is very clean, beautifully appointed, and the bed is the most comfortable bed we have ever slept in! It is so peaceful there. Breakfast arrived which was absolutely delicious. Heaven on earth!”   August 2013

“Great place to stay, friendly, clean, cosy and great breakfast. Would highly recommend it!”    July 2013

“List the elements of your ideal B&B and they’re all here plus a few more. Where to begin? We received the friendliest of welcomes and were shown to the sole guest suite – a sitting room, overlooking a beautiful courtyard garden, a large bedroom with a huge, comfortable bed and a modern bathroom (shower only). The owners have thought of everything. (There is, for instance , a choice of about ten types of tea on the tray in the room.) The (vegetarian) breakfast was quite simply superb. All in all this is five star hotel treatment in a perfect rural setting. We’ll visit again… and again.” July 2013

"A wonderful place to stay. Stephen is a great host, and cooks a deeeelicious vegetarian breakfast – a tasty eye opener for us traditional carivores. The attention to detail and all the homemade/straight from the orchard touches make for a memorable stay. We were guests at a wedding at Babbington, just down the road, and were thrilled with our choice to stay at Jerricho rather than fork out for BH! We would absolutely recommend to friends (in fact already have!) and are hoping to find a reason to return ourselves in the future. ”   June 2013

“Possibly one of the most lovely B & Bs we have ever stayed in. Gorgeous calm, beautifully decorated rooms with the world’s most comfy bed and a breakfast that was completely delicious – chuffed we managed to come away with Stephen’s recipe for his fruit compote! We were made to feel welcome from the minute we arrived with tea and drinks – only downside was that we only got to stay one night.”   June 2013

“Wonderful breakfast, best ever. Bed was a dream, loved having our own little sitting room looking onto garden. Don’t think it can be beaten on any level.”  June 2013

“Can not recommend Jehrico more highly – a stunning place in a beautiful location. Breakfast was superb and Steven was a lovely host. All in all perfect! We will definitely be recommending to others and hopefully returning very soon!”  May 2013

“We had a wonderful stay for our 10th Wedding Anniversary. Peaceful, relaxing, and with one room we felt like privileged guests. Our host was very welcoming, attentive but not intrusive. We had a lovely evening meal at The Talbot Inn and better breakfast at Jericho. Definitely would recommend for a weekend break ‘away from it all’ .”  April 2013

“Probably the most beautiful B&B in England – with gourmet vegetarian food. Heaven.”  April 2013

“We had a great stay at Jericho. Comfortable, tastefully furnished rooms with lovely attention to detail. Stephen was a charming host, and served us a truly delicious breakfast. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this special place.”  January 2013

“Thanks very much for letting us stay at Jericho last week …you have done a brilliant job with the guest wing…it was extremely comfortable and the breakfast was wonderful! We would love to stay again in the near future”    December 2012

“We had the most wonderful stay at Jericho and would like to thank you so  much for a glorious couple of days.  A beautiful wedding at Babington House  was made all the sweeter for us by having such a lovely retreat to come back to!  I’m not sure I’ve ever slept in a bed quite as comfortable, and breakfast was utterly delicious. I’ll certainly be recommending you to any friends looking for  somewhere wonderful to stay in that part of the world. ”   November    2012
